The pizza we ordered was missing together with the Huagies. Besides, not to get everything you order the food taste Bland. Pizza pastry they started is disgusting. Very sad this place went down hill bc that was one of the best.
Thin Crust style cheese pizza with delicious homemade red sauce was great. The special pizza, Steak Gone Bananas, is extremely delicious. The salads are very large and a great value. Definitely a thumb up!
5 XL pizzas ordered for an event and all were great. Spinach and feta was fantastic, and the paprika they use is perfect. Great job!
This place has had several owners over the past few years. It used to be a sit down restaurant when Dolly owned the place, and the food and service were outstanding! However, with an aging clientele (this was a few years before the many new housing plans were developed and built) and an unfortunate family emergency, Dolly sold the place. The restaurant portion, though small, was always cozy and warm, and the staff, particularly Barb, treated you like close family. Although Dolly and Barb have moved on to other ventures, the quality service and attention to detail have continued. The newest owners have converted the restaurant to a cafe, and they serve breakfast food and drink in the AM. From lunch on, they serve excellent pizza, appetizers and entrees. Their catering is exceptional; both our family and friends have used them for parties and the guests rave about the food. Banana Peppers is a South Hills hidden gem!
The best kept secret in the South Hills. Banana Peppers is my go to for catering. The food is excellent. The prices are affordable. And the owners are very hospitable. At least one person from every party Banana Peppers catered for me has ordered from them for their parties.
