Eating is decent, but prices do not reflect the quality they can expect. we spent $100 on what could have been a $40-50 meal anywhere else. each article on the menu was apparently recently risen as the website was not accurate and had much better prices. the crab cake was extremely good, but I still find it overpriced; it could have been improved by offering 2 cakes for a somewhat higher price. beautiful atmosphere and a great view of the river mouth. saw ships that pass the horizon from the window. only complaining is the price. this is too much for post-covid pricing. if it wasn't for a special event I would have gone without ordering. I'd like to come back if the prices come back, but as it stands, I can just justify one visit.
I love this place! The atmosphere, service and food are wonderful! Amy was our server and she was just as amazing as the sunset. She was quick to put our order in as a large table was to be seated. She was direct with her favorite meal (which my husband and I order and lived) and most importantly she was fun and truly seem to enjoy her job. Thank you, Amy. This was our 13 year anniversary and instead of fancy attire and reservations, we were very hopeful for an authentic JI fun and delicious dinner, which was provided. Thank you!!!!
My husband and I came for dinner and had a wonderful time. We are on our honeymoon and it has a beautiful view of the river. Amy was an amazing server. She was so helpful and fun. She provided outstanding customer service! We will definitely come back!!!
The Wharf Restaurant in located in the Millionaire's Club area of the island. It's quite the fitting location with the prices. I will say the restaurant has a beautiful view and is well appointed, but the prices are quite high for what you get. We were staying on St. Simons Island and took a day trip over to Jekyll. The Wharf came highly recommended. The food was good but not excellent. It was basic beach resort food- nothing above and beyond. The price range referenced on Trip Advisor shows $10-$30. There is NOTHING on the menu food wise that is $10 or below. Some of the sandwiches were in the high $20 range and any full entree was well in excess of $30. The staff was all very friendly and they were the best part of the experience. They were very accommodating. 5 stars to the staff- 3 stars for food. Just ordinary, nothing special, food.
