Scala - Turm Restaurant im Intershoptower

I had thunfish with a tree cake made of kartoffels and some next dishes. the individual ingredients perfectly harmonized: the thunfish was the leading actor, the side shells did not play in the foreground, perfect. the dish was served with a 5 minute...talk over its exhaustion. In addition, a pinot gris was recommended that fits perfectly. eating was an experience I like to repeat. lovers of fine cuisine should not miss it during a visit in jena.

Last update of everything had been done in the 80s: the menu, the waiter, the carpet. that is great and eating is not bad.

We visited the restaurant scala, as we had a voucher for a 4-time romantic dinner. After we have called forward to reserve a window seat (one must, for the purpose), we were pleased to see in the future that we have in the did the last available window...side table. we were greeted by friendly staff who explained the menu, as well as us with our prosecco aperitif. the compliments of the cook were delicious, as well as the selection of broths and butters/spreads. the evening continued when he began to pay with great attention to our needs to ensure that we were well looked after. the seasonal soup was just divine, the highlight of our evening. the main course, iberico filet with a strange cheese that reminds of a cheeto was rather surprising, but completely edible. the risk with such experiments is that they do not satisfy all as it may be with this court with other diners, but I can appreciate the effort to discover new classics. I found the overall dish quite delicious, although it would not order again, I had the choice. the fish dish of my partner was really top notch. Finally, the dessert, banane was served in three styles, and that was again a top shot. the weeping recommendations presented by the waiter were very good (and not the most expensive) after the meal, we had a walk around the top of the tower, in the magnificent view on jena and surroundings, which a good opportunity, a beautiful evening with great food and top service. this was my third visit here, and both previous ones were equally remarkable. this is clearly the best restaurant in jena (although with a price tag to fit, of course.)

A fantastic view! and a great place to have a 75-year anniversary dinner! the menu had an Asian touch in the local style of thüringen. very well arranged and prepared! we enjoyed the red wine from herrn proppe that originated locally!

We've booked a table for 4 persons to celebrate a wedding day two weeks in advance. The online confirmation was also received. Upon arrival that day at the entrance they said they didn't have a table because of some big group event even though they...saw the confirmation email (where we specifically mentioned the occasion). No apologies, absolutely nothing. They could at least inform us of cancellation in advance. Absolute disaster!
