Definitely one of my favorites. Not pictured is the quesabirria lumpia, another favorite! The consommé was perfect to lip in the quesabirria lumpia. Lastly, got the classic pork and chicken lumpia which were amazing. They even gave me a couple of free ones too! The service is amazing, make sure to preorder too!
This is becoming our weekly takeout spot for sure. Leslie 's has, time and again, met or exceeded all expectations whenever we 've ordered. The food is always made fresh, and preordering allows you to choose the pickup time that works best for you (as well as getting you dibs on your favorites before they sell out! . The owner is incredibly kind, and truly understands the value of good customer service. One thing to keep in mind: at the time of this review, Leslie 's is only open on the weekends. As for the food: it 's fantastic! Totally reminds me of the homemade Filipino food I 'm used to. The pork lumpia: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. If you 've never had lumpia, think of it as the perfect combo between an egg roll and a taquito. Chicken pancit: excellent flavor, definitely hits the spot. Well seasoned and has the perfect amount of chicken/veggies. If you 've never had pancit, think of it similar to a chow mein but with finer noodles. Adobo wings: these things are killer. Full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and sticky! If you 're unfamiliar with the flavor, the closest thing I can compare it to is teriyaki but better! Another recommendation is to definitely try the weekly specials. So far they 've never failed to deliver! You won 't regret it. My favorite so far has been the quesobirria lumpia, but the buffalo wing lumpia is a serious close second! Regardless, you won 't go wrong with whatever you decide to order from the menu. Be sure to check this place out!
Leslie's Lumpia is authentic Filipino food that reminds me of home. I've almost had every dish they offer and it's easily my favorite Filipino spot in Portland. With their growing menu and new creations, I can't wait to see what else they're going to add next. The simplicity they provide with the food, still brings great flavors. They're tremendously nice and it feels like family. I have quite a few favorites including the lumpia (chicken, pork, cheesy) pancit, adobo wings, and kare kare. Next round I'm looking forward to ordering the new items I haven't tried yet. You must also order their Ube Turon and Ubechata
Stoked to find some good lumpia! I grew up in Hawaii and so miss the lumpia, especially banana.I was happy to find this place on Instagram and got a few types of lumpia and three order of soup for my family last weekend. We all agree, it was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying some her less traditional lumpia as well!
Throughout my travels, this gem in Portland is a must-try for all visitor and locals! Leslie's Lumpia are the best I've had to date!
