If you're okay with a grungy diner, the French toast was good. This portion is 2 pieces even though it looks like one cut in half. Lol. It was only $2.50 though.
I overall hated this place both visits. On my first time there, I went in and the waitress immediately sat us in a booth. After she handed us menus, I started crying, I have no idea why I did that but it was the atmosphere of the restaurant that made me cry. And after we ordered our food, and after the food had been brought to our table, I started crying again. This restaurant makes me cry so much that I don't have the nerves to go back. I can't say enough good things about Maple Leaf. The staff have worked here for decades, the food is solid, they are thoughtful with the presentation, kind about substitutions or dietary needs, and the perfect place to get delicious all-day breakfast. Also, their fish and chips are bomb.
Like anything, anyone, anyplace there are good days and bad. However, there isnt another Breakfast spot that is more reasonable and tasty. I would take the Worst Bacon Eggs Breakfast from Maple Leaf over most Breakfast Spots “Best Effort”. Another educated palette, My Son, give a Gold star for the Burgers. The Food is Great, the Wait staff are friendly and quirky. I Love this Place.
