Matador Nw Portland - Jennings Lodge

Super nice area and atmosphere in the summer. They open up all the big windows to give a patio feel. The decor is top notch and all the food I have tried is perfect. I always take my friends from out of town here and recommend any burrito California style. I just get the tacos and beer.

Matador is a true Portland gem that I highly recommend trying. Incredible and warm ambiance, music, and lighting with excellent service and personable staff. The food is outstanding and the happy hour from 4pm-6pm and 10pm-1am is fantastic with a selection ranging from grande nachos, street tacos, and quesadillas for as low as $7. The drink selection is broad and the passionfruit margarita (pictured) is one of the best margaritas I have had. Matador is a must try!

Great spot to walk to — parking in the northwest is a hassle but once you get situated Matador is a great place to end up. They always have chips and salsa ready and on the table. I LOVE the salsa. It's a dash too spicy for some but I really like it. Service is pretty good and the atmosphere is worth the price of the food and drinks. Happy hour is excellent if you can swing it. Will also recommend this place.

Not my first time, won’t be my last! Love me some matador! And tonight Haley C really knocked it out of the park with her service! Couldn’t have asked for a more diligent waitress, she was right on it with our drinks and fixing a cold order. Loved having her wait on us. Matador continues to be our go to on NW 23!

The Matador is a trendy place with lots of seating and great food. 5 of us went there and enjoyed the great hospitality and food. Lighting is low. Quite enjoyable for a group or couple…
