We went during happy hour where we were met with warm invitations, promise of live music and that warm bar eatery vibe. What we got was subpar versions of their regular menu. No music. We waited for an hour for one of our dishes in a nearly empty restaurant. Drinks were watered down. The waitress passed us off to another staff member because she was unhappy with our frustration. The restaurant has a good selection of different BBQ meats ranging from sausage to brisket to pulled pork. The cajun fries and Mac n' cheese are excellent and the brisket is fine. The atmosphere is great with a full bar and an extensive selection of whiskeys.
We thought we'd try somewhere new but we regret it!! The live music was very good and the service was okay. The food was downright bad. They brought the wrong sides for both of us. Everything was SO salty. I got the fried chicken and expected at least a couple pieces of meat but got only one. Sadly that was the only decent part of the meal. The cheesy potatoes were extremely salty and otherwise flavorless, the Mac and cheese was grainy and bland and the corn bread was cold and dense. Jiffy is be … – show
It's changed… this is an edited review. The food and the service need big improvements. Our server was great actually, but was stretched so thin because the other two employees weren't doing much of anything. Bummer.
Food quality is very low. My food was about the saltiest thing I have ever eaten. The price to portion made no sense, quite expensive for what you get. The cornbread was burnt. My wife's salad had some very brown lettuce on it. Service is super slow, one person doing all the work, the other two are moping around, this makes it slow. The poor person that works with these lazy co-workers, should work somewhere else where they have good teammates.
