The server was not friendly and explained that the small portion size was because the chef is from Japan. She also mentioned that if we wanted larger portions, we should go to a Chinese restaurant. Overall, the presentation of the food was not very appealing.
This is the best sushi I have ever had. Everything tasted fresh and the atmosphere felt authentic, unlike the typical "sushi experience" in Florida.
This is the best sushi restaurant in Florida so far. It is an authentic Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese owner (though the owner may not seem very friendly). The ramen was delicious, but the soup was not homemade. The gyoza is not homemade either, but it is reasonably priced. The main course took a long time to come out. If you try to contact them by phone, be prepared to have your call constantly ring with no answer. It is best to check the reviews and hours on Google Maps before visiting. If you want to make a reservation, do so earlier in the day. Despite how busy the restaurant is, the waiters are always running around trying to help.
Kaishin is an authentic Japanese restaurant. it's one of the chefs who's out of japan. it is an intimate restaurant with excellent food and service. if they are looking for authentic Japanese food I recommend kaishin!
