The Portobello, magic, and octopus tacos were excellent! The atmosphere, music, and service were truly amazing!
The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was vibrant. I only have one suggestion: please consider adding an extra corn tortilla. All three tacos fell apart as soon as I tried to pick them up, which forced me to use a fork. While they were still delicious, it somewhat detracted from the overall experience.
This place is not a tiki bar. By the way, the term "tiki" has colonial connotations and isn't appropriate. Additionally, there are no authentic Polynesian drinks on the menu. When I asked the bartender for a Zombie cocktail, I received a blank stare from the young staff. Overall, it feels more like a local bar than anything else.
The bar was quite empty during my visit. I had to ask a passing busser to get the bartender’s attention. The Margarita Special tasted more like lemonade, and the draft beer wasn’t cold enough, so I switched to bottled beer. The tacos were underwhelming; you’d expect extraordinary tacos at a place specializing in them, but that wasn’t the case here. The main issue was with our bartender/server, E**ly. She was a pleasant person, but the service started off slow and only got worse. She became increasingly inattentive. I finally managed to get her attention for the check, only for her to print out two incorrect checks from other customers. That’s simply unacceptable.
