You are right on the pavement so get to experience Spanish life up close and there is always something going on. The drinks are really cheap by our standards and the bar itself pretty basic but comfortable.
We walked towards Jerez centre for a late breakfast. It had started to rain and this was the nearest place so we ducked inside. This is not the type of place I would normally go for as the interior looks a bit bare and basic but the place was very busy so we stayed. There is no menu, something I struggle with when there’s a language barrier but I managed to order 2 bocadillo’s with ham and tomato. They were huge in comparison to everywhere else we’ve eaten and very tasty. We had a tea and a coffee and a bottle of water and everything was delicious. The waitress was super efficient and friendly and we were served promptly. So if you don’t judge the book by the cover then this place is great. The bill came to €8.20. Compared to the €10 the hotel charges for 1 person I would recommend eating out and experiencing Spanish life!
We had lunch here, sharing a plate of hams and cheeses. Everyone else here was a local testimony to the fact that this is the real dea. The food was just brimming with flavour and a very generous portion for not too much money. The service was jolly, full of laughs based on language differences; that simply made it all the more fun. Can't speak too highly of a great experience.
