American Hero - Jersey City

I have family that have been coming here for the past 30 years and I had the chance to enjoy it last month :P AND IT IS GOOD! We ordered the cold American roast beef and hot American pastrami w/ cheese. I unfortunately forgot to photograph them. But I'll be sure to upload pics of the food the next time I go. Half of their dining tables are available which is good and the owner is friendly and nice- he even recognized my family when we arrived; he has great memory!

This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Jersery city they can make omelets any style you like and they are super friendly!

This spot is awesome! Affordable pricing, big dishes and the staff are regularly helpful.

This place has HORRIBLE customer service!!! Apparently the prices on grubhub are incorrect and they charge you the difference without informing you. I called to find out about the charge and was told ma 'am why are you upset over only $4? in a nasty tone. It isn 't about the $4 it 's the principle. NO ONE informed me of the difference and then the customer service was horrible. Not everyone has additional money in their account so what if someone didn 't have the additional $4? I will NEVER order from them again.

Very good sandwiches, and the pasta is good too. Nice casual spot to sit in or takeout. The proprieter is friendly, and they have some fun regulars.
