Contribuisci feedbackToday marks the third time that we were in the house of the faithful in 2 weeks. The first time, everything was fabulous. The second time, too. Tonit was quite good when looking at the extremely high outside temperatures. We enjoyed cold Jever beer and a fabulous series of starters (Friesen Tapas, Gambas). The Friesen Tapas (again) were the perfect combination of local seafood! Love it! We moved to more of them, matjes coupled with this time with potatoes and fresh green salad. Once again, super tasty, with the exception of the potatoes, which were served like warm cold, it is necessary to point out that the owner and cook are proud of the daily choir of preparing the loads of potatoes with different spices. Actually, we were even more disappointed because the cook and even the owner were able to correct the inadequacies. But they didn't do it even after we told them a few times about the cold dish. We love Tanja and her service team, although the interface between her and the chef team does not seem to accept negative feedback from customers like us. All in all, we would rate the evening with 3 stars, a mixture of 4 for the service and 2 for the kitchen.
Acceptable atmosphere, arrogant and hard staff, meal very sad, fish was salty. We don't come back and don't come back here. You should keep selling beer.
I have really enjoyed this typical German restaurant and have returned on a few occasions. The atmosphere is cozy, the decor is pleasing and the food is excellent (the portions generous). I have brought many Canadian colleagues there who have all loved it. They accept credit cards but they are not big fans of it. Just let them know ahead of time (before ordering) if you plan on using yours. I definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying their terrace in the summer!
The food and service are excellent. They even catered to the needs of our seven-year old who has dietary restrictions. The language barrier was not a problem because they managed to get us what we requested. I had rump steak with the best fruit and vegetable salad ever!!!!! Everyone should check this restaurant out as well as the beautiful town of Jever!
We were staying a couple of nights in Jever and tried the Haus on our first night. It was so good that we made a booking for the second night before leaving! The food and the beer are first class (especially as the restaurant/bar are right next door to the Jever Brewery) and sufficiently varied to keep any north German food fanatic happy for a few days. It was asparagus special time when we were there and the soup was amazing. The service was friendly and helpful, nothing to fault at all. Very good alue in fact we had to check the bill to ,ake sure everything had been included the first night. If you are staying in Jever you must go.
