Contribuisci feedbackI wanted to celebrate my friend birthday. encore was suggested by our Airbnb host and it was amazing. the menu is expensive, but it is worthwhile with slavery bites. as it is in such a small town, they would never expect to have such a great 5-star-worthy meal. our waitress was amazing! she was very informative about the menu and the building and its history. other then the one dame, halfway through the meal came my friend and I had the place in our own. it was wendesday on the 15th august, so I understood that there would not be much foot traffic on this day, but that made us special. we can't wait to go back if he pays next time.
First timer but not the last time! From the time we made the reservation to the time we left the restaurant after a wonderful dinner we felt like VIPs. After making the reservation I got a call from the owner to verify and to say they were looking forward to having us! The day of I got a call saying they were expecting us and they had a wonderful table for the 4 of us. Nice touch! We got there and it was a quaint home on the main drag not far from the opera house where we were attending a concert later that evening. They were respectful of our time constraints without being rushed. Drinks were Fabulous. Food was even better. There was a dinner special that we wanted to try without having it as an entree. We all got it as a side dish. Homemade pasta. Delicious! Sauce (gravy) , delicious! My husband had the salmon, Myself and another guest had a chicken dish, another in our party had the twin filet mignon turbinado. All delicious. Desert we just had to share, again delicious. Phil our server was great. always there when needed, invisable when not. Tony, the owner makes it a must eat at place. Will be coming back. No need to try elsewhere. It's convenient, delicious and it just feels good to feel appreciated. We have eaten in many upscale restaurants across the country. This ranks among our favorites right here in NEPA. Well done, Tony and staff.
We visited Encore for dinner a couple of years ago and fell in love with their Crabcakes. When we recently had the opportunity for a day trip to Jim Thorpe we immediately decided it was worth the trip to have lunch there. We were not disappointed. The lunch crab cake was served on an English Muffin and was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we enjoyed a fresh made cheesecake with fresh fruit that was the best I have ever eaten. In addition, the owner and staff are all very attentive and want you to have the best food and enjoyable atmosphere. This is definitely worth a trip!
Absolutely over priced food. I don’t mind spending money for good food, but this was way too expensive for what you got. The cocktails are fun and yummy, but menu prices need to come down. Maybe that is why we were the only two in the restaurant.
Nice quiet dinner, main courses were very good. the sides were all underseasoned (I don't think I have to add salt and pepper to my food at this price). desesert was excellent. the voice hour up is very cool and the host jamie was very nice.
