Cocina Grill and Cantina - Jindabyne

We visited here for dinner. Very tasty but also pricey for what you get. I realize it is Jindabyne and snow season but $25 for one burrito is a little excessive. As is the $9 hot chocolate in a cup.

Don't know why this place is always so booked out. The food is average and not authentic Mexican. The servings small. The prices high. The place way too hot and cramped in. The stools and the tables are so uncomfortable. It was not a good dining experience. We felt rushed. Rushed to place our order in. Waitress looking around and not giving us her attention as she was so busy. We had to get her attention to ask for menus. Plates were taken away from us before we could take our last mouth full. Total was a shocking close to $300. We had a much greater disappointment in experience at crackenback farm where we had oyster entrees, huge mains and desserts. We all had a drink as well. That bill came to over 380 but it definitely was much better food, quality selection and servings and great environment not squashed in like sardines. We had proper chairs and tables too. The staff here seemed flustered and therefore personal service was non existent. This is an authentic rating. May not be a good one but I am being honest. Won't be coming back. Too pricey and not that great. Not a very positive dining experience.

We went here for our last night in Jindabyne. We were sat in a booth which was great, the kids were well looked after and had a great choice of meals. It was a taste sensation. The staff were wonderful, considering it was so busy. We will go back.

Very good Mexican food but the standout is that all produce is excellent. Easy to bury poor quality produce with chilli and spice - not so here. Ask for Con's special tequilas....

This is probably the best restaurant in Jindabyne. I had dinner here 3 times over the past two months and came in for just desert twice. I highly recommend booking as this place is always busy. If you're a small group or couple ask to be seated up stairs. Everything I have eaten here has be delicious, the calamari, wings, rice croquettes, chips, burrito and nachos and for dessert the Churros! The staff are friendly, services is normally pretty quick and the quality is good.
