We had dinner at the pillars on 29th September. Although the ambience was great but the food could have been better : We ordered a lot of food items chicken tikka, chicken tandoori, grilled fish, paneer tikka, dal makhani, paneer main course, butter chicken.. Grilled fish had a sour taste but the rest of the items were still ok. The ambience made it up for the food.My rating 4/5
Umaid Bhavan, a place near the heart of city renovated from an old palace. Beautiful greenery and ravishing view from every point to pillar.Great service but need to think twice before ordering!
'Living upto its Tag of the World 's Best Hotel '<br/ <br/ As the blistering soothing crackles of the peacock struck my ears I woke up to the beautiful lawns at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The breakfast was sealed at the Pillars. I would imagine the name of restaurant is because of the humongous ever so history enchanting pillars it has that support the huge dome at the palace from one side.<br/ <br/ The service was impeccable as you would expect from a luxury hotel with top notch detailing to each every aspect of dining that impressed me the most.<br/ <br/ The server along with the chef strived to give me exactly what I want by customising the dishes as per my needs. Be it the Spanish Omlette with bacon, Rajasthani Akuri eggs on parantha or the Homely Rajasthani khasta kachori with parantha chhole. Everything was relishing mouthwatering that had to suffice just by filling up my stomach although my taste buds were itching for more.<br/ <br/ A definite dinner date restaurant for all the fine dining lovers in a small city like Jodhpur to have an world class experience and a memorable one at that.
