Ravintola Riverside - Joensuu

Pleasant ambience, attentive service, but under-average food. I had the pastrami roasted sandwich and pommes and the result was something I could easily make at home for a fraction of the price.

On a week evening we spent the Christmas celebration at the workplace on the new Bistro Heili. The surroundings of the restaurant are really nice, there were many tables and plenty of space. The service was friendly and relatively fast. The tables were finished after the reservation. We had already selected the menus a good week before, so the kitchen knew what our group would order. Therefore it was a shame if those who chose the Steak menu did not even get the dessert from the menu, but had to choose something else. This is a star minus because we should be prepared for our arrival as the menu selection was made in advance and the restaurant had also demanded. Otherwise the food was good and we had a nice evening.

The restaurant surprises me positively! The restaurant is well renovated, a cozy place. I ordered Hecht Wallenberg, the part was delicious and filled. The service is friendly and attentive. I could go again!

We had dinner at the New Year's Eve before we celebrate. Comfortable in the half empty restaurant, the beginning was good for food, we waited for less than an hour, say, the restaurant is full? The food was disappointing, the appetizer was fine, the main course seemed as if it was made from scratch, even if the price was in a qualitative place. Wine and Irish coffee were good, price for two 135e. it would be worth investing in a real cook if you read these reviews...

Good food and friendly staff. The look of the new restaurant was quite nice.
