Greek-ish Tm - Johannesburg

Definitely adding this to one of my favorite restaurant list. We had a late lunch there earlier today and it was beyond great. Calamari casserole was finger licking good. Fried calamari I really enjoyed, it was perfectly fried and it was great having a mixture of both tubes and heads. Crispy lamb chops where amazing. A big plus to having a 18 month old son, they also have a large kiddies menu. Overall the cooking reminded me so much of my Greek mom's cooking who lives in the states. Both the owner and his wife was very hospitable, and treated us as if we were part of the family. Definitely a place I would go to again and again. The only fault I found, that it is not closer to our home so we can enjoy it more often. Thumbs up.

24.03.2019 I finally got around to trying out Greek-ish at Stoneridge shopping centre. I’ve had it on my radar for a while. it was nice sitting outside enjoying the fresh air and watching the surroundings.<br/ <br/ They make authentic Greek food, as well as some fusion /Mediterranean options, which you can find on their specials board. Fear not they also cater for vegetarians and Vegans.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Beef Feta Yiro, and it was delicious, meat was tender and tasty and you could taste the spices. At the time I didn’t realise that it came with a side so I had to try their Zucchini fries, as its one of my new addictions when done right. Happy to say it was GOOD, I’ve never received it with Mash Potato before, and I wasn’t disappointed. Their crispy fries were a delightful surprise, i just need some peri peri sauce, well that’s my personal preference to dunk it in.<br/ <br/ We also tried the Prawn Pasta off their specials board, and the Bifteki Burger with Feta and Feta Sauce. WOW what a feast. A lovely cosy restaurant that is clean, neat and inviting. We were seated promptly by a very warm waiter. The setting is so beautiful that it makes one feel like they are on holiday. The food arrived timeously and it was tasty. The portions are quite ample and we even had a takeaway of leftovers. A lovely restaurant to bring the family and friends to, to enjoy a delicious meal!!

Wow, The Spartan Yiro (beef, pork, chicken) was incredible! Highly recommend. No shortage of flavour or sauce in this filling, well portioned meal. Fries were crunchy and tasty. The service is also commendable with welcoming and kind staff who checked on the table regularly. The atmosphere is lovely and authentic. A warm fire added to the coziness of the restaurant.
