Mcdonald's - Johannesburg

The McDonald's at The Zone is slow and inefficient. I recommend going to a different location. If I could give another one-star review, I would. During my most recent visit in February 2023, the experience was just as disappointing. It was a mistake to return.

The McDonald's at Rosebank The Zone has terrible chips and the service is awful. The foldover comes in separate sections, forcing you to assemble it yourself at home. Overall, it's quite disappointing and definitely the worst McDonald's I've experienced so far.

Overall, my experience was quite average. The food seemed hastily prepared, and it took about 10 minutes just to get a response to my question about a family combo meal. There were plenty of staff members around, appearing busy, but they weren't actually being helpful. When our order finally arrived, we found that there were no sauces for the nuggets. When I inquired about it, they apologized and said they were out of sauces—really? All of them? The cashier should have informed us. Instead, we received an opened jalapeño sauce without a lid, likely left over from a previous customer—how unappetizing. The chips were supposed to be served without salt, but they were completely covered in it. I would recommend going to a different location if you can.

This restaurant is a great choice for a quick and affordable meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the place is consistently clean.

I think I was more thrilled about the Wi-Fi than I was about the delicious blueberry and hot chocolate. McDonald's is always great—thank you!
