The Shadowboxer - Johannesburg

The Shadow Boxer has recently changed management and introduced a new limited menu. We visited for a birthday celebration with friends. Unfortunately, the service was poor and many of the dishes were not advertised. It took two and a half hours for our food to finally arrive at our table, despite us being the only patrons in the restaurant. When the lady finally served our table, it was less than satisfactory.

The food was fantastic. The spicy mojito drink was one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be returning with a larger group.

Great place for drinks, but food was a major letdown. The dishes and desserts were disappointing. The ambiance is lovely and the atmosphere is great, but the kitchen definitely needs some improvement for a better dining experience.
