Absolutely love this place. Service is amazing very friendly and attentive. Food is fantastic!! We drive to Johnson City just to eat at Bayou Boys. Would absolutely love one of the shirts that the staff wear.Food: 5/5
Couldn't ask for a better pace to eat at. The service is the best in the Tri-cities. You have to try their alligator bites and swamp fries. So far everything we have ever tried has been awesome. Birthdays are awesome also. Let them know and you get a special treat. Very family friendly, great atmosphere, the best food ad value with excellent service. What more could someone ask for.
My party enjoyed the fried sampler platter to a boiled pot and also a chicken Alfredo. Our meal was hot when arriving to the table and very well seasoned. On the sampler platter I enjoyed everything but the fried fish. The boiled pot was quickly devoured and it was very enjoyed. All in all we had a good experience and we would do it again. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu appropriate to restaurantParking: A shared parking lot big enough to accommodate the seating of their restaurant and then some.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes with some minor floor strips.
This is my 2cd review of this place. The first was about the gumbo but will not get into that now. Born and raised in South Louisiana and travel all over the country for work. I love finding restaurants that advertise Cajun food. I can, at times, be overly critical when it comes to my cultures food. Any true coona would be. This place has Cajun all over the it. Down to pre made roux. So I ordered the crawfish etouffee, one of my personal favorites, off the menu. It came with a nice size portion BUT I noticed one small exception, the crawfish. I will post a picture and allow anyone to zoom in and see if you can locate 4. OK, let's see if the taste can compensate for the lack of the main ingredient? Sorry to say the answer is NO. It was exactly spaghetti sauce. It might have been OK for an Italian restaurant but not an advertised Cajun restaurant. I was only able to take two bites before I asked the sweet lil waitress if she had brought me the wrong dish. Poor lil girl was super apologetic and asked if she wanted me to take it off my bill. Told her that it would be nice being as I wasn't going to eat it. I then asked if I could order another item to go. I ordered the large Red Beans and rice. She brought it in a brown paper bag and handed me a bill for $12.06. I tipped the waitress $5 for being so apologetic as it wasn't her fault. I paid and went directly back to my hotel room and removed the contents of that bag. Picture with the LARGE red beans and rice next to my to go drink. You decide for yourself on that one. The red beans were outstanding, but everything tastes great when you are as hungry as I was leaving this place. So far, none of the seafood items are anything to go out of your way, ESPECIALLY the etouffee. Stick with the red beans and rice.
