Victoria Garden - Johnstown

Probably the worst Chinese i have ever tried to eat! Shame on your cusine and the people who work so hard to pay for a proper authentic meal! No wonder people buy greasy fish and chips

We surprised my mother in law with a birthday dinner here and to this day she claims it 's the best Chinese she 's ever had. We popped in about 30 minutes before the reservation to decorate the table with balloons, confetti etc and the staff couldn 't have been nicer or more helpful. They stored a birthday cake for us as well and brought it out after dinner this isn 't a given and I would never presume a restaurant would allow it, but they very graciously accommodated the request even though it meant we would not be buying desserts from them. To be honest we had a few other requests for little surprises during the evening and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the staff here, they couldn 't have been more helpful. Foodwise, our group would have somewhat awkward needs I am a vegan and my partner is a vegetarian, and we are quite used to having to 'put up ' with substandard food, so we were delighted to find that there were quite a few very enticing options for us and the food was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be returning!

Just had unfortunately a terrible night out in this Chinese we had spring rolls served with mayonnaise really terrible and cold a dry satay chicken 40 mins waiting on drinks which we didn't bother having by the time they remembered us won't be going back

Great Chinese food. We love good Chinese food and had passed Victoria Garden a number of times. It looked so inviting so we went in for a sit down meal. The staff were so friendly and efficient and gave us such great service. The menu is extensive and has a good selection of traditional (for Ireland! Chinese dishes and options. We had aromatic duck to start which was delicious and well presented. For mains we had beef chow mein, chicken satay and chicken Kung po with egg fried rice. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The meat and veg were high quality. The egg fried rice was the best I’ve ever had! The whole meal was so tasty and we know we will return over and over again.

Sunday Lunch here, food is delicious and staff are excellent will definitely be back. Lunch menu 4 courses for 19.95 excellent value
