The food was great, the service was awesome but I can't say enough about the owner, John, who helped my mom and I when our car wouldn't start after enjoying breakfast. He went above and beyond to help but we ended up needing a tow to the Goodyear shop John recommended. Can you believe the car started right up for Steve and Dave? There was nothing to fix and the rest of my trip was a success. Thanks John! For being a genuinely good human. It's much appreciated ?
My husband and I always go for breakfast Sunday morning after church. We have eaten at the corner coffee shop several other times. Today we stopped and had a awesome server and we placed our order. We both commented on how long it was taking for not being busy. When we got our food we just looked at it. I ordered eggs over easy and home fries. My husband ordered breakfast burrito and home fries. His was crispy and over cooked potatoes and my eggs were brown and crispy not over easy and crispy potatoes. We both like well done potatoes but couldn't eat most of them. They comped my meal but it was so disappointing. She offered to get me new eggs but I do not send food back. Our server was the only good thing about our visit today.
The staff should get 5 stars but the rest of it? negative. Came here to eat on vacation and wish we?d gone to chilis instead. 1. It was boiling hot in there. One of the staff told me it?s because the owner yelled at them to keep it 72 degrees. Which it is not. It was cooler outside at 84 than inside. The workers were sweating visibly and very exhausted but still so kind. The owner should be ashamed of himself! He doesn?t work in there- so he shouldn?t get a say. Not to mention the foodborne pathogens that grow in that kind of heat. 2. My mom was served a chicken sandwich that had a half green tomato and the chips I had were so salty they were inedible. My husbands tossed salad was pathetic and tiny at a high price! The breast was well seasoned on my moms sandwich and cooked well and my wrap was mediocre. The lack of quality is not due to the kitchen staff. Due to the ingredients they were forced to use. 3. There is no kids menu! The menu doesn?t tell you exactly what is on the sandwich or wrap. 4. The bathrooms were dirty and in disrepair. If you want to charge insanely high prices at least provide a good experience.
We ate there during Thunder in the Valley 2022. It was super busy. After being seated our waitress, Holly, quickly got our drink orders followed by our food orders. My husband had a normal breakfast of eggs, toast and sausage. I had their lobster bisque soup and a side salad. He said his breakfast was good. My lobster bisque soup was delicious, although I would like to have found some chunks of lobster in it. But it came out creamy and very hot which is how I like my soup. The salad was a normal side salad with just iceberg lettuce, tomato, and cucumbers. We were each brought a pot of coffee because I was drinking decaf and he had regular. That works out well in a restaurant that is as busy as they were because you do not have to wait for coffee. To sum it up once we were seated the order was taken quickly, the food came fast, we had a good service from Holly; everything was good including the price! We would return again.
