Local home dishes. Must try the fried fish. They serve faster than Macdonald but do come earlier as some dishes are sold out as early as 1pm. However, the prices are subjected to the boss’s mood
Its been almost 3 years since I last been back. The Bak kut teh was mild in taste and leaning towards Hokkien style than the peppery teochew's. Not something I would order again. Deep fried (garoupa) fish tail which is their signature. Deep fried till super crisp and served with Thai chili and mayo. Very fresh and tasty. They also offer various types and cut of fish, snapper and sometimes exotic species. Bitter gourd with salted egg was passable, lacking in the savoriness of the salted egg. 3 dishes for RM$70. Chatted with the owner who was very friendly and spoke good English. He shared that the business has been around for 40 years and 17 in its current location.
Best fried fish, without doubt, not even disturb comparison with others. other dishes such as bitter ziegenei, get vege tofu trio, tau kee, although prepared, are all delicious. lady chef is friendly and chatty, especially if they can speak hakka. they arrive early as there is in the regular large amount during lunch, but they serve extremely fast.
Two. once here and eating was even better than the first time. must be the fried fish, bittergourd, pumpkin. service is personal and super fast (but quality is still amazing) will recommend everyone to want the local fare!
