My real issue arose when I attempted to order five bowls instead of the standard eggs, meat, and three bowls (since I'm on a meal plan). This shouldn’t have led to confusion, yet that’s exactly where I found myself. This was the fourth time in 58 days that I tried to enjoy breakfast here, and I only had 15 minutes to eat. Unfortunately, I spent 10 of those minutes dealing with a staff member who called others to prevent me from getting two small bowls. I paid $5.64 for two small dishes when I could have spent that money on a full meal or at least a melon. I could have given her a piece of my mind, but I just wanted to get my food quickly. I literally left the restaurant on the same day I was admitted to the hospital, which was a terrible start to what could have been a lovely day, and I won’t forget it.
I had the most affordable meal in this quirky spot—three diverse items for under $6. I ended up staying longer than I anticipated and needed to grab a bite. The fresh salad came with a variety of dressing options. The chicken wings were baked, crispy, and surprisingly not salty. It was a nice change from the typically oversalted American cuisine. I would definitely eat here again!
We enjoy eating our Sunday lunch here! Always a quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the food is good also!
Landed here at Ft. Louis Washington. In 1969 from Vietnam. Got a shower and new dress uniform. And headed home
