Then when I asked for something else they said they had it but they went right over to the next room and got it off one of the hot shelves. The food they gave me looked like it had been on that shelf for awhile because the bun was almost as hard as a rock, the chicken was soggy and not crunchy whatsoever, and the pickles on the sandwich looked like they were going bad. I’m not one for writing reviews but that type of thing can’t be overlooked even if it is fast food.
Chicken was dry. Biscuits were like eating compressed sawdust. Mac n cheese was, well I'm not sure how to explain it, but not what I would have expected.
The Chester's we ate at was in the Love's Travel Stop at exit 90 on I-81 in Pennsylvania. We ordered chicken fingers, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, biscuits, and apple pies for dessert. The chicken was cooked perfectly (nice and juicy), the mac-n-cheese was creamy, and the pies were AMAZING (very similar to the old style of apple pies served at the golden arches)! The staff member who was working was very polite and the service was very quick. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a gas station chicken place, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
Truck drivers. We get so tired of fast food and the prefab stuff. We stop here to eat REAL food everytime we pass by and have time. Always leave full and happy. Waitstaff is super friendly.
Chicken tenders, chicken bites, potato wedges, all. Food was okay main issue is nothing was crunchy. Service was efficient.
