We've usually been very pleased with both the food and the service, but today was a different story. My fish sandwich was packed with bones, the broccoli was overcooked, and the fried squash was simply terrible. When we brought our concerns to the counter, all we received was an apology. The waitress was slow and inattentive, which we could have overlooked if the food had been good. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. They got $20 out of us today, but from now on, we will steer clear of this place.
I have no complaints about the food; it was excellent. My issue lies with the integrity of some of your staff. On January 29, 2015, I visited your restaurant and accidentally left my iPhone in the booth where we were seated. I’m certain I lost it there since it was the only place we visited after leaving home. I realized it was missing about 15 minutes after we left and returned to the restaurant. The waitress claimed she hadn’t seen it, but I wasn’t convinced by her demeanor. If I were you, I would ensure she doesn’t have access to the cash register. I don’t know her name, but she has a prominent mole on her cheek. I have found lost items before and have always returned them, so I’m quite frustrated. Replacing my phone will cost me $500. I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hopes that you will address this issue to prevent it from happening again.

However, I was disappointed that the manager, Gus, never came to speak with us, and the young lady did not return. When my waitress came by later and asked how everything was, I told her about the hair in my food. She was visibly shocked and said it was the grossest thing she had ever seen. She promised to show it to Gus, as she was equally puzzled about how hair could end up under my food. She took the plate and returned later to inform me that the manager had decided I should not have to pay for my meal. She shared in my disgust and horror over the situation. It's concerning that the manager didn't feel this incident deserved his attention. I can't help but feel that this was intentional, which raises a much larger issue. Someone on the staff is behaving unacceptably, and the manager's lack of action implies he is enabling such behavior. I believe he should be held accountable for this and potentially face dismissal for failing to address it appropriately.
