Big R's Bbq Pies - Joplin

The Tower-O-Rings were absolutely amazing—10/10! I must say they are some of the best onion rings I've ever had. The steakburger was also very good; you can tell they use quality ingredients. The atmosphere was lovely, and the waitstaff was incredibly friendly. I overheard them say they operate like a big, dysfunctional family, which added to the charm. I really enjoyed my first visit here!

We took a day trip to Joplin for our jubilee celebration and stumbled upon Big R's BBQ. We were extremely pleased! The food was fantastic—the flavors were incredible! All the sides were homemade, and the cake was excellent! We're so glad we decided to try this restaurant. Now we have a great spot to stop at whenever we're in Joplin!

Was on the way through joplin and had to check her cake. the cherry vanilla chocolate cream pipe is divine, beautiful country diner atmosphere and service was great! I'll stop here and try a new piece of cake every time I go through! (I bet you eat other things is also good, but I'm a **** addict, lol.

Although I didn’t visit the restaurant myself, some friends brought me a chocolate cake from there, and since chocolate cake is my absolute favorite (it’s what I choose for my birthday instead of traditional cake), I wanted to share my thoughts. The chocolate cake was really impressive—well-made, and it holds up well during transport. It also keeps nicely in the refrigerator for several days. The thick crust and what I would describe as a “dense filling” contribute to its durability. Personally, I found the cake a bit too dark for my taste, and the filling was denser than I prefer, but that may be because I’m used to my wife’s homemade chocolate cake. For a store-bought option, though, it's definitely not frozen and it’s fantastic!

Great staff friendly and she got everything right she was on the ball .My lemonade,sweet tea were good and the tower of onions surprised us it was a big serving fresh hot and fast. I tried the turkey ,brisket and grandmas potato salad they were. All good but my favorites were the ribs and baked beans. My husband had ham he said taste like ham not sweet . We ordered the strawberry pies to go They have so many pies to choose from next time I want the peanut butter chocolate pie . Thank you for such great food and especially the staff.
