Taku Store - Juneau

Staff was friendly and the smoked salmon was a descent price. I like the info boards. They were kid friendly too.

Great place for smoked salmon and great souvenirs. I purchased some gorgeous earrings for a friend. I regret not buying some for myself.

I wanted to check this place out because I heard good things about it. Not enough time though because we soon as you get into port you have your excursions and by the time we got back at 6pm, this store was closed. If you stayed open longer when cruise ships are in..maybe you would sell more?

Wow. I pulled in today with a cruise ship. Extremely unprofessional, young girl and a young guy with skater hair on 05/21/2023 disrespected my entire family. It was my daughter ,wife and I we wanted to sample the smoked fish they told us unfortunately there isn't any for the day anymore. We said oh ok that's fine. We are looking to potentially buy stuff for fatgwrs day and she told us just to go online. Ok we almost bought a bunch of gifts for my wife's dad the price was about to be around 400$ but as we almost left a new person walked in and asked for a sample and they said ok be right back I'll give you guys some . After hearing that we dropped everything and left. Why did they get a sample but not us.

Nice place. I was on a food tour and received a sample of a spread that was great. And then I was told it wasn't available for purchase.
