It's hard to go against real Tex sex, but that's coming pretty close and won't destroy your wallet. Between us four we had a wet Burrito plate, different hard shell tacos and a Burrito shell. Everyone explained it was a good stuff and ran happy. I think you'll think the same.
Food is good, service is great, BUT... My wife had her top shelf Margarita, a Kadillac, with better Tequila 1800, a total of 7 out of 10. If you know real Mexican food, you'll be a little disappointed. Everything was good, but, shiny, no heat, no spices / herbs. We often travel to Mexico and live in Southern California, genuine Mexican cuisine has taste, spices and herbs giving full taste. Do not expect someone to know Spanish or understand your Spanish, Busboy was lost when I asked about the Birria, beef or goats in Spanish.
When someone visited South Texas, I was ready for comfort at the end of my trip, and this restaurant was not disappointed. Delicious and perfectly crispy Chilaquiles, and I appreciate the Negra Modelo on design. Very convenient to the airport.
I sat here for breakfast because I know she serves breakfast or lunch all day. The taco/enchilada combo was great. Taco was crispy and no shop bought Shell. The green salsa is always on point (picture) I wanted the chilaquiles but decided on the combo. It also washes with her morning happy hour. $4 screwdriver and **** Mary and $6 mimosas. Not too ashamed. The service was quick and friendly. I was really surprised to see the amount of customers they had so early in the morning.
