Gasthof Am Rathaus - Kaiserslautern

2nd Christmas Day 2013! with 20 people our group was melted and as agreed between 12.00 and 12.30 a.m. before 13.00 a.m., no ordering of drinks was recorded. the drinks were then pulled and almost individually brought to the table. the food order was accepted only after request. even though only the day card was ordered without special extras, it took up to 15.00 o'clock and a person was completely forgotten. during the ordering of the meal the service had no communication, for which the food had to be ordered and referred to the page table several times. although they were awarded to various oriented croquettes, they had to be recovered. the salatbuffet was filled only after request, although new guests had arrived in the meantime. reordered beverages were partially not brought. the quality of the food corresponded to good housewives who were more disadvantaged in terms of price. from the environment the Christmas festival was already cut off and the daytrott returned. credit card payment: temporarily not possible! Conclusion: apparently from the department drinks about kitchen staff and service nobody in the position to provide with expert knowledge and engagement for the satisfaction of customers; therefore: recommended real restaurants are becoming less and less! ps: even smokers are customers, but left in rain.

Wir waren am Aschermittwoch zum Heringsbuffetessen dort. Die Bedienung wirkte nicht sehr kompetent, da sie uns Fragen zum Buffet nicht wirklich beantworten konnte. Zudem wollten wir dunkles Bier bestellen, was es laut Aussage der Bedienung hier nicht gibt. Wenig später sahen wir ein Köstrizer Bier am Nachbartisch ;-)Das Essen war gut, es gab verschiedene Variationen Hering und Matjes. Allerdings war das Buffet oft leer und auch nie alle auf der Karte angepriesenen Fischspeisen zur gleichen Zeit vorzufinden. Mich persönlich störten die offensichtlichen Spinnenweben an den Wänden!

Ich ess am liebsten dort Rumpsteak mit gerösteten Zwiebeln. Die Speisekarte ist gut sortiert. Jeder findet dort ein gutes Essen.

Der Gasthof ist komplett veraltet und abgenutzt. Ein Putzlappen könnte an so mancher Stelle auch nichts schaden. Der Service ist unfreundlich und teilweise überfordert. Das Essen war heiter bis wolkig. Zusammengefasst, ist dieser Gasthof nicht zu empfehlen.

This is right across from a bus stop and parking lot in Hohenecken, close walking distance from the Burgschanke hotel. We were here last year and decided to try it again. The food is good with emphasis on regional palatine dishes. My husband had the potato soup and fish with potatoes. I had the french onion soup and wild boar sausage with sauerkraut and potatoes. Very good and filling.
