Back Alley Saloon - Kalamazoo

My bartending coworker and I came here tonight to relax after a long day of slinging drinks at the Growlers' field for the Mac and Cheese Fest. Our bartender tonight, Kaya (sp? , was amazing. Her personality and positive attitude lifted the entire bar from the floor to the ceiling. She deserves a raise, a promotion, or at least a gift card to her favorite clothing store.We live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but will be back at Back Alley, because of Kaya, whenever we are back in Kalamazoo.

Dear Bowling Alley and Back Alley Saloon, you have the best fried mushrooms!

To make matters worse, we waited 15 minutes for a waitress to check on us, but no one came. We eventually had to go to the bar ourselves. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and we won’t be returning.

I didn't enjoy the Long Island iced tea, but the meals were good.

The staff was very nice and the food is good.
