And a part of why this is one of my lucky places is that nothing has changed in the decades I've made here. Well, they used to have a great jukebox. The food has not changed, it tastes as wonderful as it was when I was a child. The menu is almost exactly the same. They have not added gluten-free rolls or tofu dogs, everything is immaculate, but the stands and the chairs and the bowls and the lighting and even the door are exactly as they were always.. I always order the same, including a speaker root beer in the bottle with a frost cup. And there's nothing Hokey about it. Simple, tasty, food, authentic friendly, fast service. The consistency of everything is very unusual in my experience. Even the places I love occasionally have an off-day or night where the service is not so great, or they mix an order or your favorite dish has too much or too little of something. The clientele is varied, but the vibe is always wonderful and wrench. It is small, so if you are at a busy time, you can have problems getting a table or a stand. But people do not tend to dwell, so things turn around quite quickly. It's child-friendly. You can get orders. (I once got an Amtrak with two Coney dogs and when I wore them off, people literally came to me and asked me where I got my food.
Coney Island is a long-standing clamp in the Kalamazoo community. You have this location another business in downtown next to The Green Top. Both have the same great service. It is a family business that promotes high-quality products and offers very cheap prices.
I'm pregnant for 7 months, and I've been hunting a Chicago hot dog for 7 months... I've tried Chicago dogs from a few other places, but I'm finally satisfied that the desire today at Coney. The only thing missing was a poppy bunker. Great prices and service!
You might think how can I give a hot dog joint 4 stars, I wonder the same, but this place had everything. First, the help was manipulated. Second, when the guy who makes a Coney dog watched an artist. Strange, but true. Thirdly, the help as a team worked together. Their efforts were coordinated. Because the food tastes good. Admittedly, it's not fancy food, it's just comfort food. And as someone else released if you want a chili dog, it is not served there, but if you want a Coney dog, that is the place to go.
Had the gyro, pretty good. i wish i could get the viennas here, but i cant complain about what IS on menu either. good spot. I'll be back.
