Z`s Tavern - Kalamazoo

This tavern offers a Sunday brunch and cocktail menu that is sure to satisfy a wide range of tastes. We dined there with a large family group for brunch, and the special of the day was a Reuben Eggs Benedict, which I found to be a delightful twist on the classic dish. The other dishes we tried were also quite good, complemented by attentive service and a nice selection of cocktails and beers. The atmosphere was distinctly eclectic, adding to the overall experience, and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely return.

So, why do I continue to be drawn here? There’s nothing about this place on paper that sets it apart from others in the neighborhood, yet it feels just right for someone like me who appreciates a rustic and simple atmosphere along with good food. It tends to be quite crowded around dinner time, which indicates that I’m not the only one who feels this way. On evenings when they have live bands, the atmosphere is fantastic, and it’s hard to find a better spot to spend your evening.

Wow! If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, this is the place for you! The service took a while, but that was only because it was incredibly busy—not due to a lack of interest from the staff. They were very professional and friendly. The flipper and paddleball games provided great entertainment, and the live band was a delightful addition. I didn't try the food this time, but I'll definitely sample it on my next visit. They also have a fantastic selection of beers. I'll be back for sure!

We had very good food and heard some very talented students or recent graduates probably at West Michigan University.

My husband and I, went here for dinner, and both had the classic burger, with cheese, cooked medium-well. We both loved our burgers! The buns were soft, but toasted to perfection. The burger was grilled just right, juicy, and superior taste. Our burgers came with kettle cooked, salt and pepper potato chips. I recommend sitting inside if it's a windy day, so your chips don't blow away. 😁
