Bull Butterfly

Food was truly awesome, ambiance of restaurant is wonderful. I 'm knocking off one star for some small, but important improvements the staff can make. This is a restaurant, but we felt the staffs demeanor/ vibe was more representative of a Cheesecake Factory or CPK. This is not to imply they were not friendly, they were...in fact very outgoing. And service was quick. But, a few things seemed out of line for an upscale restaurant. Our first waitress sounded horrendously sick...like she had bronchitis. She introduced herself and then disappeared and a new waitress showed up. Not sure what happened but was not complaining given our concerns. When we entered to be seated, the host made us go back outside to look up our reservation. Weird. Just go look and come back. We tasted two wines from two different glasses, and after selecting which one we wanted, the waitress asked if she could take the glass back to pour the wine . Weird. My friend and I both took sips from that glass and now you are taking it and giving it to her instead of getting new wine glasses? Bill was given to us without anyone asking if we wanted dessert. They tried to take my husbands 20 scotch away before he was finished drinking. Nobody asked, some person just came over to swipe the table. Steak knives not given until 5 min into meal. Kind of pushy with the upsell, asking repeatedly for each drink single or double shot . Again nothing bad, just lacked a bit of gravitas you 'd anticipate from a higher scale restaurant. Seems poorly managed

My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we were in the area. We casually mentioned that we needed to run to LAX in an hour. Both our host and waiter made sure to give us everything in advance so we could leave asap (wifi password, check, menu... We ordered steak and chicken thigh per the waiter's recommendation, and it was probably the best chicken I've had in the past 5 years. It has been 2 weeks and I'm still thinking about it from time to time. All of the people who work there are super nice and attentive. I enjoy our dinner there very much. We will definitely go back when we go up to LA again! Thank you for the great service and awesome food.

I have been wanting to try Bull Butterfly as I live in the area. But their opening hours are really short and closes early at 8pm. I finally got to try it during the halloween weekend, and I was amazed that this place doesnt get more attention that they should! We ordered the Shaksuka and the Con Huevos and both dishes really exceeds our expectation! The Shaksuka was surprisingly really delicious and the sour bread that came with it were really soft. Unlike other shaksuka, this one delivers the taste of the tomato really well and not sour. The sour bread is also not too sour and the whole flavors really perfect. Also it was my first time having Con Huevos and I had a memorable one. The fried onion at the top compliments the whole dish perfectly. I definitely 10/10 recommend Bull Butterfly for its brunch. I think this place is so underrated and it deserved more recognition. The ambience here is so nice and cozy. The decoration is modern and cute. Location is perfect as it is in the Runway Plaza. Parking is definitely easy because there is a parking structure at the back. No complain for me!

I live right at Runway apartments so it's super convenient for me. Came down on Halloween for breakfast and we've been wanting to try this place out. Honestly did not have much expectations but this place is actually pretty good! Servers were all really nice and attentive. Food was really good too! Ordered the shakshuka and the con huevos. Shakshuka was amazing would definitely order again 10/10 Con huevos was pretty good too 8/10 Would definitely try their dinner menu as well.

We had dinner here tonight and really enjoyed it. We sat inside as it was a bit chilly tonight and had great service throughout the meal. We enjoyed the Grey Goose martini very much! We also had the calamari and shrimp, the grilled artichoke, the burger, and the hangar steak. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return.
