The cheese was also overpowering and couldn't really taste the lobster. Mix of cheese and lobster was also weird. The chips are very crispy though.
Tried this last weekend, in Oxnard, at the 805 nights. I gotta say, the bbq lobster was not good at all. Imagine chewing in a ball of rubber bands, and paying 50 bucks to do so. Yeah, I autos have gladly welcomed the rubber bands afterwards in order to remove the taste and texture of their lobster. Do yourself a favor, walk right past this food truck, if you're near them.
Classic night market vendor. They always have the corner spots. They have the lobster grilling displayed for you to see, pretty cool. Tried their lobster fries, it's about 20 bucks. Don't come with that much lobster. Sauce is nice tho. Sometimes can taste too much like truffle oil. The one item that comes with most lobster is probably the lobster noodle. That one is about 35-40 bucks and looks like the best seller.
We ordered the Lobster Nest Half-half order of lobster with garlic noodles for $28 before tax and it explained the reason as to why Lobsterdamus is named Lobsterdamus! While the price tag might seem hefty, the garlic noodles had an apparent garlic taste which I wish every spot serving this could meet. It can get messy eating this especially since you really have to dig, cut, and work to get that lobster meat out, but more of the reason to ask for utensils. Squeeze some lemon over your lobster, cut a slice out, twirl some garlic noodles, and this is the bite of a perfect combination!
I tried the half lobster with no noodles since I'm not a huge fan of yakisoba and didn't want to get too full. I'm not a huge fan of lobster and this lobster didn't win me over. Lobster was tinnnny, like 6 bites tops. If I could try this again, I'd get it with yakisoba since the lobster by itself was mediocre.
