Diner serving fried chicken, waffles, and other southern dishes. We got the number 22 with 2 thighs and it also came with Mac and cheese, collared greens, and corn bread and we ordered a side of waffle as well. The thigh pieces contained too much bone and too little meat and was overcooked. Spices were nice on the chicken. The Mac and cheese was just ok. The collared greens was interesting to try since it’s not a common dish to get elsewhere. The cornbread was the best part, soft, but also dense and flavourful. The waffle was just okay and expensive for $8 extra. The restaurant felt kind of run down and dirty and very much felt like a diner or fast food joint.
I Love Roscoes Chicken And Waffles But This Particular Roscoes Is Not That Good I Was Very Disappointed With The Chicken It Was Fried Too Hard And It Had No Seasoning It Taste Bland I Also Tried The Rice And Gravy The Rice Was Tender And Fluffy But The Gravy Tasted greasy And Not Seasoned I Will Never Get The Chicken Again The Only Thing I Would Order Again Are The Waffles That’s The Best Thing On The Menu The Food Is Too Expensive Not To Be Good I Feel Like I Wasted My Money … SMH
So happy we decided to take a detour and get some amazing fried chicken, waffles and grits! I was craving the chicken and waffles and my wife was craving the grits so what better compromise than Roscoe's?!? Food was better than i had anticipated which is always a plus. The service was fantastic. Atmosphere was honestly not what i expected, but then again I'm not entirely sure what it was that i expected! Sweet tea was done right and on point. Wife loved her grits! Definitely recommend this spot when in LA!
The chicken was good, it tasted like my mother had cooked it (salt, black pepper and paprika). I'm not sure who Roscoe is, but if you can, I have a great location in Gary, IN, you can open a store. You will have to drop that price for a piece of chicken and Not profit from your name.
