Large cottage near the parking lot in the cabin. we had one of our best imperial bullies of our journey. beautiful playground for children (not yet visible from the terrace)

Nice evening in this huge restaurant. The trip towards the restaurant was more exciting than the menu. Friendly staff, decent food but expensive compared to other restaurants nearby.

We took a trip onto the Großglockner and stopped by this place. The service was OK, though the taste and quality of food was quite low average. The price, on the contrary, was rather high... not exactly the best place to relax after a successful...hike.

We went in for dinner after having climbed Grossglockner on that day. We were beat and starving. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere very nice. Loved the place!

If you do not plan to hike the Großglockner, then you should drive to the Lucknerhaus at least. The spot offers an amazing view on Austria's highest mountain. I can as well recommend to do a wildlife watching tour with the nationapark rangers from the...National Park Hohe Tauern Matrei in Osttirol. The tour takes about 2 hours and with a binocular you will see the big 5 of Austria (ibex, chamoix, marmots, eagle, hare). Defenitely worth it. A Kaiserschmarrn or Käsespätzle at the Lucknerhaus round up the day perfectly.
