Nishino Sushi - Kamloops

I have never written a negative review before (even when I probably should have), but this restaurant is deserving of one. Firstly, we waited for 10 minutes before our drink order was taken, and then another 10 minutes for our water and soda. I ordered a corona but received a non-alcoholic beer instead of my water. My partner received his food before I even got my water (which was nearly 30 minutes after we arrived), and people who came in 20 minutes after us were served hot food before us. When our food finally arrived, the rice in our rolls was dry, my roll was overcooked, and everything fell apart. I was extremely disappointed.

(Edit) The owner is such a great guy, very attentive to customer needs- loved chatting with him. Food was 10/10 sushi was presented very well!! My new favourite sushi place in Kamloops! I went back to try more items and was not disappointed at all!Didn’t think anything was going to top the Mango Avocado Roll but then I tried the Crazy Vegetable Roll and boy was it good! The chef really does put a lot of effort in his ‘art’, I couldn’t stop taking photos of the plate. Also the size of the roll was massive I could barely eat in a single bite. For dessert the chef suggested the Sunshine Roll and it was so tasty omgFood quality is top tier and I will be going back for more!

Very disappointed. I think the owner ship has changed. The food, very small portions for the price. While the prawns were good they looked like they had been starved. Everything from sushi to noodles was the same temp. Items just subpar. We will unfortunately not return. You can’t spend the kind of money it takes now to patronage local restaurants when the meal is of poor quality.

Best sushi place in Kamloops!!! Everything is so fresh and exceptional service. Such a lovely experience every time.

Just delicious! Well worth the trip out to the West End of town for the best Korean kimchi I've eaten since I was in Seoul. Cali and House rolls were fresh and yummy. Japanese and Korean inspired cuisine made fresh with top quality ingredients makes this homey family restaurant one of the jewels of Westsyde. ?????
