Had a yellow and a red curry. Both were fantastic tasting and large enough to take home enough for lunch tomorrow. Can't beat the heat of that curry on a cold night. The best.
This is not your typical roadside ethnic restaurant. The food is cooked by the owners wife, a very special lady who has culinary skills 2nd to none. The menu is completely authentic and is dine in or take out. I suggest dine in and enjoy the company. The walls are covered in Thailand tourista, but the owners will talk you off your feet about their place. We had pork Satay for starters and shared a Goong Nam Pik Pow which was an authentic dish tossed in ginger chili sauce, with baby corn, mushrooms and seasoned with Kaffir-Lime Leaves and basil. More than enough for two. They have soooo much to choose from. We'll definitely be back.
Great meal of warm thai flavors. The Tom Yum Gai soup, mild heat, was perfect warm up for rainy chilly evening. Portion large enough for 4 people. Lemongrass and lime leaves was tipping point to giving soup awesome rating. Green papaya salad was fresh, crunchy and refreshing. Their signature mixed seafood with coconut rice was our entree'. The squid was very tender. Tiger beer and jasmine tea was very complementary. Highly recommend Salajai for unique dining experience in Kamloops.
My Friend and I went to this Thai restaurant for the second time. The food was above average. The prices are little bit on the higher side in comparison with other restaurants but it's worth the only thai restaurant in Kamloops that I know. Would recommend trying it :)
