Stopped in for a quick lunch on way to Victoria. The restaurant was clean and food was fresh except the bread was a little stale. Found it to be a little on the cool inside considering it was pouring rain out. Friendly staff. All in all what u would expect from a subway.
The food was good, typical of what you would find at Subway. However, it was surprisingly expensive at $30 for two adults and a 5-year-old. It was disappointing that they didn't offer an egg salad option for kids, but that seems to be a problem with Subway in general and not specific to this particular store.
We have been getting sandwiches at Subway locations all over the area. This particular one is conveniently located just a short walk from the Maverick Inn. We have never encountered any issues here, and we appreciate the customizable options for building our sandwich. The restaurant appears to be clean and well-maintained, with workers wearing fresh gloves and hair/beard nets as needed.
To my amigo in the previous review. Senor, por favor, la comida barata sin sabor es en todo los Subways!Subways are just as consistent as McDonalds with very few being outstandingly bad (a couple in Winnipeg and Vancouver come to mind as trash heaps), and this one is pretty well close to the average for quality. The first time I went there I was being served by someone on their first day (it seemed like it might even have been his first order) and it was very comical to see their supervisor point out to them what spinach was and what to do with falafel. He genuinely seemed to not have ever seen half the items in front of him. I guess he wasn't a big veggie fan! What I thought was outrageous was that the lobster sub cost SIX DOLLARS MORE than the exact same one in Salmon Arm! I can understand regional differences in pricing but to charge that much more for a sub than one just an hour's drive away is ridiculous. The place is small and at lunchtimes inordinately crowded. It's also a bit dreary and run down, so you might be better off getting your sub from one of the other, better, cleaner, and more updated Subways elsewhere in town.
