I'm glad I made pictures before we were gone because everything was almost immediately discarded when we came back to the hotel. highly recommended if they are in the city!
Happy way in the did! I drove through the canab and looked for a quick lunch while driving to park city. I discovered a small food truck parked and stopped in a crowd by not expecting much. wow! I had bbq in ga, sc, tx, st. louis and even korean bbq in nyc. these people have legit bbq. the brisket was amazing, perfectly prepared, not too dry and not with the right amount of smoked flavor to fat. the bungalow on my sandwich was Hawaii style and super fresh. the portions were generous and the prizes were amazing. next time I drive from az to ut, I plan and stop at happy trails!
We stopped in after a long day in Bryce canyon. Shortly after leaving the park my wife asked me what I thought of that little BBQ trailer for dinner. Great!! Now with BBQ on the brain and an hour and a half ride back it was agonizing. Well, we finally got to this little gem which is the part you care about... A gem it is. First and foremost the owners/ hosts are super friendly, nice folks. The service was second to none. And the food... Oh the food. We had such a great meal. My wife had the barbacoa nachos. Man were they good. Smokey and done right. I confess that I had to help her out with this mountain of goodness. I had the BBQ Sunday. Originally I was a tad disappointed as happy trails was out of Mac and cheese, fear not faithful readers, I settled on the beans and wedges. It was outstanding and filled me right up. Bottom line: go to the Happy trails BBQ trailer if you're hungry. They treat you like your favorite cousin. (Have you eaten yet?
We had the brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich w/ baked beans. The portions were generous and the flavor was good, but it wasn’t anything special, especially for the price. The sauce is store-purchased Sweet Baby Rays. The baked beans had the best flavor and was served up piping hot!
After I had moved here a year ago, I tried to sell bbq. I must say happy trails has some of the best ripening I had everywhere. no need for the sauce, they burst with juice and dry smokey taste. a worthy stop for all who are in the canab. melt in the mouth Dee-licious.
