We ordered the spicy Thai mushroom salad, fried rice and fried meat substitute strings. Very good. Really inexpensive and you get a waterbottle for free. We found this place yesterday but then it was closed (4 pm we checked and around 6 pm we checked again). This morning at 10am it was opened so it seems to be opened in the morning until early in the afternoon? Or maybe it was closed because of Newyearsday, we cannot tell because the lady speaks hardly any English .
Friendliest lady serving delicious food, makes a change from all the Jay buffet restaurants!
I came here for lunch today, there were no other customers but it is quite hidden so I'm not surprised. She offered free water and ice cubes. Luckily she had an English menu so ordering was easily. I had the Spicy Cumcumber salad, which was indeed very spicy, probably the most spicy thing I've ever eaten. I guess this is more accomodated for Thai people, but despite the spicyness it was still very delicious!
This is no longer a food cart, but a nice little restaurant down the alley next to CJ's supermarket on the left hand side. Absolutely the best vegan food I had in a long time. Very friendly lady serving a variety of delicious isaan dishes. Very clean and also very cheap. No msg! Don't miss it! I recommend: Numtok, Somtum, Laap Hed Woonsen and many more. She will prepare whatever you wish at your taste.
The lovely lady behind her cart showed me all of her food but unfortunately I was already too full from the vegan place across the street. I went back the next day and apparently she sold vegan 'laap ' (everything was written in Thai . I ordered one to take with me to the Erawan falls. It was a very nice lunch, even two bag-hours later! If you like laap and it 's herby flavour (mint and cilantro you should go to this lovely and smiling young lady. Don 't know if she also offers other food and if her menu changes over time. Around April she was in front of the CJ. Possible cons; owner doesn 't understand English and she offers limited choice. But this could also be seen as 'local ' and 'specialism ' as well ; Take care everyone!
