Sallys Pizza - Kangaroo Flat

Good value pizzas staff are always friendly family run business, good service great place to get takeaway pizza, they also have chips etc

I found out about Sally's pizza after there was a local poll about who had the best pizza in Bendigo. Sally's Pizza won this and many people commented on how cheap and tasty the pizza was. We decided to give it a try a few months ago and have been very happy.This occasion was a Saturday night. I ordered via tuckerfox. The delivery time was to be in 45 minutes which is very good for a Saturday night. I didnt order until 6.30 either so right in the middle of the busiest time.The food arrived in 50 minutes and the delivery driver was very apologetic that he was late (only 5 mniutes) I thought this was lovely that he offered an apology and it really wasnt needed but it made me feel like a valued customer.We had ordered a half and half pizza (Americana and Sallys special) for $10, a carbonara pasta for $9, minimum chips $4 and four dimsims for $1 each. Sally's have an interesting variety of foods, not just pizza and pasta. Delivery was $5 which again I find very reasonable as I am 5 minutes drive from the shop in Golden Square.The pizza was amazing! So many toppings piled on the base. I sampled both flavours and wished I didnt get full so quickly as it is food that you could just keep eating. For $10 this was a huge meal. Eight large slices in total.The pasta was amazing too. So much delicious garlicy sauce on the pasta. Also very moreish. A huge serving too, I would say it would easily feed three adults.My partner was as usual happy with his dimsims and chips. Again a very generous serving size of the chips, he couldnt eat them all. He also enjoyed the pizza that he tried.When I compare the value of this food to somewhere more well known like Clogs/Jojoes - this is such a better deal and the food is better too with more toppings. The others are easily twice the price of Sallys. (Dont get me wrog Clogs/Jojoes are also nice but I dont know how they are getting any takeaway or delivery business now that cheaper pizza places like Sallys and Luciannos are in town)I am looking forward to leftovers for breakfast.

The Woodhouse is a great little bricked venue with some fantastic wood fire pizzas!! Went for lunch which worked fantastically with their lunch special.
