Chophouse 101 - Kannapolis

The name Chophouse 101 is not the correct name for this restaurant as most Chophouses are known for their steaks and quality food with high expectations and more of an intimate atmosphere. To start with the atmosphere appears confused. The originalbrick wall was my favorite but the generic print pictures of steaks do not help the appeal and make it look tacky. There amillion rustic style bright white LED lights hanging from the ceiling making this place way too bright, especially paired withthe white walls. Overall the atmosphere was not welcoming and needs some help. Onto the food? restaurant claimed they haveaward winning ribs so I had to try. They were overcooked, looked to have been burned on grill, dry, and no flavor. The centercut fillet was like a hockey puck. I had moderate expectations for this restaurant and even those minimal standards were notmet. I would go to Texas Roadhouse over this restaurant every-time. The manager took off a discount of $2 off a $26 meal. Hesaid he was not able to offer a larger discount without the owner being on site. He reached out to the owner of the restaurantand was able to provide better customer service. I was trying support local such our town is small and does not have a lot oflocally owned restaurants. I hoped to have had a delicious meal but it?s unfortunate that was far from the case. I will notreturn. Perhaps the show Restaurant Impossible maybe to help.

We were looking for a steak restaurant and this restaurant came up. They had a menu that had variety because we have kids and the reviews were good. So drove over and were greeted by the friendly hostesses and we had a seat right away before the dinnertime rush. Jessie was our server and she was great. We ordered the twisted ribs and steak nachos for appetizers. The ribs weretender and crispy at the same the time! The steak on the nachos was tender and had good flavor. We ordered the prime rib,tomahawk steak, chophouse prime dip, bacon cheeseburger, Mac and cheese and fries. Everything was delicious and hot! The pricesand portions are very good. The restrooms were clean and very nice. We walked around afterwards because it's in a great areato walk after dinner. We will definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our date night dinner here! Our server was great. She was so nice, attentive, and personable. I am currently 7 months pregnant and have gestational diabetes but still had plenty of options on the menu to choose from. Our food came outquick and everything was delicious. The grilled salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Very good food. Everything I tried was good salad nachos filet was great. Good service. First time stopping in there. Was out in the area for the night and just decided to try it. Hostess was really nice

First times there. A beautiful Restaurant with wonderful tasty food. I had the prime Ribs( after 5 pm only). But all looks and smell good. Enough to get full. Reasonable price, well be returning often
