The servers were friendly and friendly and very helpful and courteous. The combination of Ethiopian and Caribbean tariffs made the trip even more interesting. They were very ready to find a spice mirror that matched our taste. A beautiful addition to the vegan-friendly scene in KCMO.
The owner kissed my neck while I was on the line at a concert. I didn't even know he was there. He had no permission. I've never got an apology, even though he's technically sexually attacked me. It wasn't there and never will be there again. Neither the Injera nor the Sambusas are also frozen there. And they use a microwave. YIKES.
Vegan friendly as I expected with products that I usually only find in all restaurants (such as cupcakes). The staff was known from vegan concerns. All or almost all vegetarian options were also vegan, and there were some. Creative menu. Maybe the best Injera I've ever had and definitely the best in KC. We came in a night with live music and poetry. It was a great atmosphere and a very pleasant evening!
During a concert, the owner surprised me by kissing the back of my neck without permission. I was completely unaware of his presence and never received an apology for his inappropriate behavior. This experience was uncomfortable and unacceptable. Additionally, the injera and sambusas at the restaurant are not frozen, but the sambusas are heated in a microwave.
My wife and I found awaze on HappyCow and we couldn't be happier. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the servers were very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The mix of Ethiopian and Caribbean dishes made our dining experience even more exciting. They were happy to recommend dishes that suited our tastes. This restaurant is a great addition to the vegan-friendly options in Kansas City, Missouri.
