China Town Super Buffet - Kansas City

The food was rather bland to me and my family. It just opened so hopefully it gets better. Price was 13.95 with drink included and you pay before being seated. We went around lunch time.

This place used to be really good. Re-opened with new management. Very very bad food. They have no clue how to cook Chinese food. It gave me diarrhea and I couldn't finish anything. Had to run to the restroom immediately after leaving. The fountain drinks are watered down and taste like sugar water. The sushi tastes days old and refrigerated. I'm still sick at the stomache two days later. Waste of time and money. Very angry!!????

So a pretty good buffet, however they really need to drop the China from the name. One whole buffet was dedicated to Mexican, one to Chinese and Americana, then the last to salads, a few deserts, and a couple rolls of sushi. Only thing I wasn 't happy with was the lack of Wasabi. I was instead told to use the squirt bottle labeled Hot mustard . Still, a good buffet, but someone please remove the Chinese part of the restaurant name. There 's not a whole lot of the standard, Chinese buffet left. Let 's just call it a really good multi-cultural buffet. ???? At least they have antibacterial lights in the washrooms. (Pic shown)

10/10 would never do again, food had been under the lights so long it was dried out, egg rolls were super over seasoned, we were charged for an adult when our child was with us even though we told them he was a child, Mac and cheese is just over cooked noodles in nacho cheese. The dessert bar had cookies you can get from Walmart for like $2. The only good things this place has going for it are music, fountain soda and the fruit which obviously comes from a can which you can?t really screw up. My advice don?t waste your money and go somewhere else.

Honestly if I could I would give zero stars the food was terrible we have had diarrhea for two days. I?m Mexican and the options they have for Mexican food is awful the meat taste like it?s been sitting in the same pan for weeks or months and like they just reheat it. Seriously the salsa in the meats do not taste fresh and the Caldo tasted old . They don?t have a big variety for the Chinese food and the American food is all dry. I?ll never come here again. I?m sorry.
