A local favorite. Solid food, good service, cold beers. A welcoming greeting is given freely upon wntey. Ownership is present and it shows. This place doesn't need a review on Google, just ask anyone in the neighborhood and they will recommend it. You always feel like a regular.

First and Foremost, the atmosphere was excellent. The waitstaff was tentative but not overbearing. Not being from KC I wasn 't familiar with the beer selection and the amazing waitress was patient enough to help me select one. The restaurant area was calm, well lit and easy to navigate. The menu was simple, but had plenty of selection. During the course of our meal we couldn 't help but rant and rave over what an amazing local eat this place was. I had the KC Cut, a steak, that was probably one of the best meals I had had in a long time. After several not so pleasant dining experiences this past week, our expectations were blown out of the water by this place. Everything from start to finish was hands-down one of the best times I have had eating out. Kevin, the owner, was even kind enough to come over and introduce himself, tell us a bit of history and welcome us to KC. He then went on to ask us about ourselves and bring a personal touch to the expedience. When he found out we were both in Law Enforcement he was beyond ecstatic to thank us for our service and we loved the fact he was openly 'Blue Strong '. This will always be a stop for us when we pass through KC from here on!.

I have been a regular at G.S. since it opened around 20 years ago, and I've never experienced a bad meal or poor service. The food is consistently well-seasoned and delicious, which is a refreshing change since many restaurants overlook this aspect. The entire staff is always attentive and wonderful. The owner and his family take the time to greet customers and express their gratitude for supporting this fantastic establishment. Although I do have a kitchen at home, I genuinely love the food that comes out of this restaurant! I could eat here every day!
