Succotash - Kansas City

I was really looking forward to my meal, especially after waiting 30 minutes to place my order. I decided to try the vegan dish, which included lima bean hummus topped with succotash, paprika, and spinach mushrooms, served with domestic fries and tomatoes. I have to say, the beets were quite delicious. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the overcooked potatoes underneath, which were as hard as a rock. This really made for an unpleasant dining experience. However, I’ve heard good things from others, and the staff was very friendly, so I plan to return and give them another chance. The restaurant wasn't busy during my visit. I ordered the Modern Elvis and a red eye latte. The latte was delicious and just the right level of sweetness, which made me really happy. The Modern Elvis wasn't overly sweet either, and it paired perfectly with maple syrup. I couldn't finish my dish, but the kids were thrilled with their large pancakes. My partner ordered a breakfast sandwich, but he didn't enjoy it as much as he had hoped.

I had the vegan short stack with potatoes and fruit. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent! Just be prepared to wait a little if you go on a weekend, but the food is definitely worth it!

I definitely came with high expectations because I’d heard such positive things about Succotash from friends. I ordered some sort of vegan kitchen sink, and it was not good. I didn’t come close to finishing it and just ended up digging the potatoes out of it. I’m not a picky eater, especially when it comes to accepting vegan food as long as it’s vegan, but this was one of the few meals in my life I have straight up disliked. The restaurant also was incredibly dirty.

Lots of vegan options. The kitchen sink and pancakes are our faves. They have really good juices too. This is an awesome place for brunch! Great atmosphere. Guy Fieri has even been here!
