The Velvet Freeze Daiquiris

The atmosphere of the place is quite rough. The owner was out and appeared to be drunk, getting into a heated argument with the police about a car parked incorrectly on the wrong side of the road. If it wasn't moved, trouble was sure to follow. The cook/maintenance worker was dancing and behaving inappropriately around the patrons. I certainly won’t be returning, as it's clear that it's only appealing to a young crowd. As for the daiquiris, they were far from impressive.

The drinks are delicious and have great names. The music is perfect for the atmosphere. However, the value for the money is disappointing. We spent $50 on drinks and barely got a buzz. The amount we paid doesn't match the alcohol content. That said, if you're just looking for a trendy vibe and supporting a Black-owned business, it might be worth it.

The Velvet Eater is full of personality, thanks to its friendly staff and the delightful aroma of daiquiris that are perfect for a hot summer day.

This place was great! Probably some of the best frozen slushy drinks I've had in a while. The person bartending was freindly, attentative and quick with our orders. Will definitely be back soon!
