This are one of the best burgers I've had!!! This was my first time eating here since in Indiana we don't have whataburger. And it was an amazing experience enjoying a burger like that. I recommend this place for sure.
Shondra provided exceptional service during our visit. The restaurant was bustling and clearly a favorite among many. She was incredibly kind and apologized for the wait, but everyone was too eager for the food to really mind. She was also helpful with other questions we had, and we truly appreciated her assistance. The food was delicious, and we had a fantastic time overall.
When my food arrived, the onion rings were soggy and falling apart. I took a bite of my jalapeño cheeseburger, only to find maybe one or two jalapeños on a dry, overcooked patty. The bun was tough and dry, making the entire meal nearly inedible. In a rare move for me, I approached the manager to have everything replaced with fresh items. The replacement onion rings were hot and crispy on the outside, but remained greasy and wet inside, lacking the flavor of onion. The burger improved slightly with more jalapeños, but it was still overcooked, and the bun was stale— the kind that crumbles when you hold it. In the end, I feel that Whataburger is a lesser version of Sonic, with similar offerings and flavors that just don’t come across as well. I suspect that much of the hype surrounding Whataburger stems from nostalgia or from being a Texas transplant. Based solely on the quality of the food, it leaves a lot to be desired.
All the registers were open, and there were also staff members using iPads to take orders. They provided us with a plastic table number, and once our food was ready, they brought it out to us. It reminded me of a place I used to go to as a kid. Although it’s a new restaurant, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. We paid $9.99 for the bacon cheeseburger meal, and it was definitely worth it. The food is unique compared to other fast-food options, and everything tasted fresh. The cheeseburger had great flavor, and the bacon added a nice touch, although I could do without the chunky onions on the sandwich. The strawberry shakes were even better than those from the fast-food giant with the golden arches. We did have an issue with our order missing an apple juice from a kids' meal, but they quickly ran out to the parking lot to bring it to us, which was definitely impressive and showed they go the extra mile. Overall, this experience was worth the wait and the price!
